Nitte University MBBS Entrance Exam
All India common entrance examination is conducted by Nitte University, for the purpose of under graduate admissions. In the year of 1979, group of seven peoplecome together and starts Nitte education trust under the guidance of Justice K. S. Hegde. The university is located at Deralakatte, Mangalore, Karnataka. AB Shetty memorial institute of dental science is the first constituent college of Nitte university. This college offers Ph.D., B.D.S and M.D.S courses. In Mangalore area the university has five institutions.
Eligibility for MBBS entrance examination:
Candidate who completed 12thstandard or equivalent examination from recognized university with biology, physics and chemistry as optional subject and English as one of the language of study. Only those candidates are eligible who has minimum of 50% marks in biology, chemistry and physics and for ST, SC candidate’s 40% are minimum marks.
Admission procedure:
Candidates must have to submit application form with relevant documents by post to registrar, NitteUniversity before the last date of submission.
General Information:
The entrance examination is conducted in the following center Nightingale Engineering College, Visakhapatnam, Karl Huber School Noida, AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences Mangalore, The Scottish Church Collegiate SchoolKolkata, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Ernakulum, Bangalore, and HK Arts CollegeAhmedabad. The entrance test is conducted in English the question paper has 180 multiple choice question (Biology 60, chemistry 60 and physics 60 question), each question has one mark. There is no negative marking system, correct answer get one marks. The final rank list is generated based on entrance examination.
