Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (RSS) has started scholarships for eligible students as for the propagation and promotions of the Sanskrit language in the country. The scholarship is awarded to students of two genres.  In the first category, the scholarship is given to those students who are registered in the Vidyapeethas. In the second category, the scholarship is given to those students who comes under the given criteria

Students who do their doctorate courses, B.A and M.A in conventional subjects are presented with the Post Matriculation scholarships. 
Eligibility for RSS (Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan) Scholarship 

The scholarship is offered to students from class 9 to students who are doing their doctorate. The eligibility detail for the scholarship is here as under:
Students of class IX and X who have successfully secured 60 percent marks or above are eligible for the scholarship. The students will be presented with 250/- per month after gaining the scholarship. 

Students of class XI and XII who have successfully finished Uttar madhyama/Prak Shastri course with 60 percent or above are eligible to get this scholarship. The students will be awarded with 300/- per month after gaining the scholarship. 
Candidate who have finished 10+2 with minimum 60 percent marks or above in aggregate as well as in Sanskrit are eligible for the scholarship. The candidate will receive Rs. 400/- per month. 

Candidates who have cleared their graduation with at least 60 percent mark or above in aggregate and in Sanskrit are eligible for the scholarship. The candidate will receive Rs. 500/- per month.

Candidates who have cleared M.A or Acharya in Sanskrit with at least 60 percent mark or above in aggregate are eligible for scholarship. The candidate will receive Rs. 1500/- per month. Students of PhD are also entitled to receive a contingency grant of Rs. 2000/- annually for two years.

Every year UGC (University Grants Commission) invites application to award Postgraduate Scholarship for professional courses from SC/ST students. The prime aim behind launching such scheme is to initiate keeping the view of the social background of candidates from the underprivileged section of the society and to offer them an equal opportunity to take PG studies in professional subjects like Management, Pharmacy, and Engineering etc. The aim of the scheme is to present SC/ST candidate with an equivalent opportunity to undertake PG level studies in Professional subjects at Indian colleges and universities.  

Candidate willing to take benefit of the scheme must hold graduation degree in the relevant subject and obtain admissible degree at the PG level in any professional subjects in renowned Colleges/Universities. The upper age limit to apply for the scholarship under the scheme is 45 years for male applicants whereas it is 50 for the female applicants. The duration of fellowship is for completion of PG. 

The amount of scholarship depends on the professional courses one choose for Post graduation for instance the amount is 5000/- per month for M.tech with the Contingency of Rs. 15000/- per annum and for other courses Rs. 3000/- per month with the contingency of Rs. 10000/-  per annum respectively. 
The application for the scholarship in a prescribed form must be sent to the Joint Secretary (SA) University Grants Commission, UGC Block, Delhi University, South Campus, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi-110021 duly forwarded through the university/college/institute where the candidate fellow willing to undergo PG course with one month after the date of published advertisement. 

The selection is based on merit and on the recommendations of the selection committee, formed by the commission. The decision taken by the commission is final. Direct and incomplete applications are not considered for the scholarship. Canvassing of any type will be considered as disqualification.

Nestle and IMD started together to award scholarship for young Business manager for MBA students.  IMD and Nestle is encouraging gifted female’s executives to apply for its annual Nestle Scholarship, which offers CHF 25000 towards the cost of the school’s prestigious MBA program. Like nestle, IMD too strongly believes that there must be more females in management and one way they can assist is by giving more females a chance to study management from top B-schools of the world. The criteria for the scholarship include both financial need and outstanding academic record. 

In the year 1996, Nestle MBA scholarship was established after a team of females MBAs from the class of 1995 done a project called “changing the shape of Business” and then Nestle happily agreed to fund the scholarship.  It always makes a great difference when a major company such as Nestle sponsors the MBA programme. Nestle realizes that they does not have enough females in the top management positions as it would like, but Nestle were committed to change those balance through initiating programs such as this as well as its gender diversity program. 

Nestle Scholarship for Young Business Managers for MBA students is open for every female candidate from around the world and preference is always given to those female candidate who come from the developing countries. IMD is committed to raise the number of eligible female who benefit from its various financial assistance so elite panel from IMD and Nestle are concentrating on candidates who will not be receiving any other such scholarships. 

Every year only one student is selected under the scholarship program and the scholar would be entitle to receive amount CHF 25,000. Any student from around the globe can apply for the scholarship. Nottingham Business School offers one full scholarship of £14,800 or two part scholarships of £7,400. The scholarship majorly depends on the judgment of the panel and the number of applications they receive. The MBA Scholarship at Nottingham University is available to UK EU and overseas students who have been offered to study at Nottingham University of Executive Masters of Business Administration. These scholarship awards are given to those candidates who successfully meet the criteria for the scholarship. 

An awarding committee takes the scholarship decision and that decision would be final. If anyone receives MBA Scholarship at Nottingham University, the fee will be adjusted before enrollment. Applicant must submit duly filled application form enclosed with an essay of about 1500 words. Please cross check the official website for further details. The selection panel holds the right to reject any application form if the essay written exceeds the stated word limit or vice-versa. 

For the current academic session, Nottingham Business School is offering several scholarships. The school will only consider the student eligible for the scholarship once the student has accepted the place on the programme and pay the course fee. All Scholarships are open to overseas, UK and European students. Nottingham Business School offers eight, half fee competitive scholarships that are open for all candidates pursuing MBA courses. If a student wins the MBA scholarship Nottingham Business School reduces the tuition fees to

Applicants willing to apply for the scholarship must have the following criteria:
Completed application form and been offered unconditional place on a Nottingham MBA programme

Applied for the scholarship on the dates mentioned by the Nottingham Business School

Nottingham Business School does not take any decision for the application received after the closing date. Every year hundreds of applicants they receive for the scholarship in which most are unsuccessful.

Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship is for the single girl child.  University grants commission had introduced this scholarship program from the academic session 2005-2006.  The prime aim of Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child is to support higher education through scholarship to such girls who happen to be the only child in the family and to provide incentive for the parents to motivate towards small family norms. 

UGC norms for scholarship eligibility:
Any single girl child of her parents is eligible under the scheme. The scholarship scheme is beneficial only to such single girl child who has taken admission in Master degree in a non-professional programme in any recognized university or a postgraduate college during the current year 2011-12. 
Other crucial points 

The scholarship program is for non-professional courses only and that too at PG level. The scheme is available to only those students who have taken admission in regular or full time Master Degree courses offered by any recognized university within the country jurisdiction. Distance mode of learning is not covered under the scheme. The single girl chosen for Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship has not been debarred from accepting any scholarship. The student wishes to leave the PG course in mid way without completing the PG courses need to seek approval from the UGC by submitting an application along with proper justification on the decision. Any student do not follow the procedure of leaving the PG course needs to refund the whole amount and the concerned institute will be solely responsible for the entire refund. The university/institute/college has to submit the certificate of completion of the PG course in respect of each student availing this scholarship. An affidavit on 50/- stamp paper duly signed by First class magistrate/gazette officers needs to be submitted conforming that she is the only child in her family not having any siblings.  


NTPC Scholarship for Management Studies


NTPC Scholarships for Management Studies

All students belonging to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/ physically disable and willing to pursue 2 years fulltime MBA/PGDBM with specialization in human resource management/ finance management from some specific institutions shall be entitle to apply for the NTPC scholarship. From the academic year 2003-04 NTPC has decided to award 15 scholarships to the students. Five scholarships are for SC students, five Scholarships are for ST students and five for physically disable students. In case of physical disable students only Ortho, hearing and visually disable students are considered for the scholarship. In case sufficient amount of disable students have not applied for the scholarship then those scholarship may be substituted or exchanged. From time to time NTPC management alters the number of scholarships. Scholars receive scholarship of Rs 1500/- per month per students for the maximum period of 2 years. 

Process of NTPC Scholarship for Management Studies
The selection for scholarship is based on the applications received by NTPC and on the performance of eligible candidates in the first and second semester/first year examination and any other criteria that may be decided by NTPC. Institution who does not offer percent of marks may be asked to furnish percentage uniformly.

NTPC will pay the Cheque regarding the selected students for the scholarship to the concerned head of institutions. 

Scholarship amount from the month of admission till the announcement of scholarship is paid directly to the candidate in one single sum. For every consequent months scholarship shall be paid Rs. 1500/- per month till the end of the course through post dated Cheques. The institute will disburse the cheque at the beginning of each month to the students till the end of academic session.  

However, during the course if NTPC found, that the scholar’s performance is not satisfactory then in such case, they have every right to withdraw scholarship of the students.

There are numerous Postgraduate scholarship in stake for Australian and overseas students who are planning to study in James Cook University.  Most of the students are planning to do Marine Biology from James Cook University so they often apply for the Scholarship. As these scholarships are offered worldwide, so the amount of competition is severe. Monetary benefits are in the form of living allowance or as research money. Total number of scholarship awarded every year is 12, the closing date is 31 October for Australian residents or 31 August for overseas students. 

Overseas students willing to pursue postgraduate studies in James Cook University must contact nearest Australian Embassy as early as possible. Information on various scholarship program run by Australian university is easily assessable form these offices. One of an interesting scholarship award to Marine Biology students is the AusAID scholarship. AusAID (Australian Agency for international Development) Scholarship offers Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) to assist people from developing countries to study in Australia. 

There are two genre of scholarship available: Open/Equity or Public Sector. In Open/Equity ADS do not require the applicants to be nominated by the government or employer but has to meet the selection criteria, while public sector ADS requires government to nominate candidates. 

Scholarship also includes return airfare ticket to Australia, academic and other mandatory allowances, basic health insurance and living allowance, which is paid fortnightly.
